NLCS Game 4 (Rockies sweep!), Oct 15th, 2007

A look down at the field as the game was about to start. Everyone was waving the white towels they handed out. Click HERE (or the pic) for a video (8 sec) of the swirling towels throughout the crowd. This must have been when TBS wanted a view of the excited crowd, cause they announced over the speakers for everyone to wave their towels...

I didn't get out my camera again until Matt Holliday's 3-run blast in the 4th.

The fountain is flowing after Holliday gives the Rockies a 6-1 lead...

Aunt Diane gives a D-back some personal "affection" after Holliday's HR. The wooden snake was repeatedly strangled, whipped by the tail, and thoroughly abused throughout the game, as it was deemed appropriate (also notice the broom in hand)...

Uncle Gary waves his towel in celebration of Holliday's HR in the 4th...

We took a walk around the stadium around the 6th inning, and noticed this display of arranged peanut shells...

We walked by the TBS booth, and saw Cal Ripkin leaning over into the crowd, signing autographs...

We completed the circuit around the park, and stopped behind home plate to watch Holliday and Helton bat. Holliday is at bat in the pic, Helton in the on deck circle...

The D-backs hit a 3-run HR in the 8th, to bring some tension back into the game. And with a runner on 2nd in the 9th, Eric Byrnes grounded out to Tulo at shortstop to end the game.

Click HERE for video of the FINAL OUT of the game (from my seat) (11 sec)!!!

Rockies WIN! Fireworks! Players empty the dugout! (see the video above)...

Click HERE for video of the fans celebrating, while the fireworks explode. Some close-ups of jubulant Aunt Diane and Uncle Gary (38 sec, 12MB)!!!

More fireworks (the fountain was pumping too), and a look at the podium in the infield where Matt Holliday would be given the NLCS MVP award...

Aunt Diane passionately wrangles the head off of the snake, signifying the Rockies triumph over the D-backs. The on-field celebration continues...

The Diamondback is finished!

The celebration moved to Blake Street after the game. High 5's were shared among everyone passing by...

We stopped at the Sports Column and had a celebratory drink. The bar was packed with fans, and everyone was singing along to the music...

Much thanks to Aunt Diane for scoring tickets to the Rockies '07 NLCS champsionship victory game! Best game ever! Go ROCKIES!
