Owego, Labor Day 2011

Dad cuts the first acorn squash of this years harvest. Mom displays it happily. It tasted great! Almost like a sweet potato fry, somehow...

This might be my Thanksgiving dinner plate this year. Uncle Rob brought 3 IPAs from New England to taste! Awesome!

Grandma joins the toast! Dad BBQs some Cornell fried chicken in the drizzle on Labor Day...

Mom serves one of the "tens of loaves" of zuchini, oatmeal, pecan, applebutter bread she made over the past couple weeks. Dad poses with his birthday oatmeal no-bake cookie...

Dad carves the cookie, mom wallops on home-made whipped cream. Dad takes a pic of the turkey family outside (a rarity to see males, females, and turklings all together)...

And for a little bonus:

My 30,000 deck re-supply of 14er cards arrived today (Sept 12th, 2011). It was quite an undertaking unloading them from the truck. I helped the guy push the dolly up the sloped driveway. ~6600lbs of cards! Literally TONs of cards!

Unloading one of the smaller stacks from the truck. A look in the garage after all the boxes are delivered.

Another look at the cards. Immediately I boxed up 1120 decks, and dropped them off at the post office and FedEx. I don't want my customer's waiting any longer than necessary!

That puts my total sales at ~8100 decks in 6 months. Grandpa would be proud no doubt. If anyone is looking for a workout, feel free to come out and help me move some boxes into the basement. There's 200 boxes, each weighing 32lbs. I know what I'll be up to later...
